Alan Richey is a web developer based in the midwest. He is a comic obsessed, cross stitching, cat loving, cocoa addict. If you would like to touch base with him you can find his inbox at alan-at-vectorvondoom.com. Alternatively, he accepts communication in the form of carrier pigeon and screaming from your rooftop. This is a blog of his work and things that inspire and fuel it.
Code Year is a web development resource to teach you how to build JavaScript applications. It just got up and running and it looks like it will give coding newbies some good tutorials to cut their teeth on. It also tracks your progress with the language and the lessons are pretty fun. Apparently over the next few weeks you will begin developing a game. Could be fun, so I thought I would share!
Alice Kuipers - Writing Tips
I developed this website for the writer Alice Kuipers in 2010 using WordPress. It is a complete template that features twitter integration, a nifty scrolling background effect, and some simple JQuery navigation. I had to do a lot of image optimization in order to keep the site light. Click through the image to see the site for yourself.

12/19/2011 - Benday Reviews System
Today marks the initial release of my Benday Reviews Plugin for WordPress. I originally developed a prototype version for the fine folks at Spawn Kill, and this is a sleeker, quicker, sexier version of that. It is essentially a reviews database plugin that allows for easy sorting within a review table for sites like Metacritic which require you to have all of your reviews in one place. I hope you dig it as much as I enjoyed putting it together. Click through the image to play with it for yourself.
